Step 1
Go to southwest.com® and log in to your Rapid Rewards account by entering your account number/username and your password in the "Account Login" section. If you do not have a Rapid Rewards account, click on "Enroll Now".
Once logged in to your account, click on the "My Account" link
under your name in the welcome message box on the right.
Note: Prior to converting your Rapid Rewards currency into
A+ Rewards, please check the Award availabililty for your destination on airtran.com®.
Step 2
Once inside your Rapid Rewards account, click on the
"My Rapid Rewards" tab.
Step 3
Select the "Transfer Between A+ Rewards and Rapid Rewards" button on the left side of the page, or select the link from the dropdown menu in the "Quick Links" section.
Step 4
Enter your A+ Rewards Member ID and password here.
If you do not have an A+ Rewards account, click "Sign up for an AirTran A+ Rewards account" to enroll in the program.
Note: You must be a Member of both programs in order to convert your program rewards from one program to the other. To ensure a successful transaction, names on both rewards accounts must match exactly.
Once you have entered your A+ Rewards account information here, click "Submit". This will take you to the Transfer Rewards page.
Step 5
Choose the program that you want to transfer rewards from by clicking on the toggle button below the program icon.
Next, select the type of rewards (points, credits, or Awards/Certificates) and the amount of rewards from the options displayed that you would like to transfer.
Note: Only one reward type may be transferred per transaction.
To view your credits and their expiration dates, click the link "Credit Information" in the credits section. This will display the Credit Expiration Dates pop-up to the right. Only active, non-expired credits may be transferred.
Step 6
Once you have selected which rewards and the amount of rewards to transfer, read and agree to the rules of the transfer, and then click "Transfer".
Note: Your transfer should be immediate but, in some cases, could take up to 24 hours to update in your account.
Viewing your transfer in your Rapid Rewards account:
Within the "Snapshot" tab, click on the "View All My Points" button in the "Recent Points Activity" section on the left.
Note: This section will show all points, credits, and Awards transfers.
From the "Rewards Activity Details" page, you can filter all of your reward transfers. The page will display the date, description of the transfer, and amount of the transfer. Make sure that you have the "Reward Transfer" box checked when filtering your search.
Viewing your transfer in your A+ Rewards account:
Click on the "My Rewards" tab on the left side of the page. You will see your transactions under the statement activity section.
